When Did Someone Last Actually Check Your IT?

Most businesses find out about an IT problem the hard way. A server dies and it turns out the backup hasn't run since March. An email account gets hacked. Or someone finally reads the invoices and realises you've been paying for software nobody has opened in two years.

If your IT is looked after by a provider you rarely hear from, one overworked internal person, or the director who happens to be good with computers, ask yourself this: are we secure, are we backed up, and are we getting value for money?

If the honest answer is "I'm not sure", that's exactly what our free IT health check is for. You get a written report in plain English, and it's yours to keep whether you ever work with us or not.

What's Included in Your IT Health Check

IT Security

We look for the gaps attackers actually use. Accounts without multi-factor authentication, unpatched systems, exposed services and firewall vulnerabilities like the recent FortiBleed exploit.

Backups and recovery

Not just "do backups exist", but would they actually restore, how much work you'd lose, and how long you'd be offline after a ransomware attack or hardware failure. This is where we find the nastiest surprises.

Microsoft 365

Most businesses use about a third of what they pay for, and half the security features they do have are switched off. We review your licences, your settings and your spend.

Network and hardware

Ageing equipment, Wi-Fi dead spots, single points of failure, and anything nearing end of life that should be in next year's budget rather than next month's emergency.

Your current support setup

We will review what you're paying, what you're actually getting for it, and whether that stacks up for a business your size.

How It Works

1. Book a time. Fill in the form below and we’ll set up a short call to understand your setup.

2. We take a look. Our engineers review your environment remotely, with an onsite visit where it helps. Nothing gets interrupted. Your team won’t even notice we’re there, and it’s usually wrapped up within 1-2 business days.

3. You get the report. A written report in plain English. What’s healthy, what’s at risk, and what to fix first. Ranked by urgency, not by what makes us money.

You’ll walk away knowing exactly where you stand. Which risks need attention this week and which can wait until next year. Whether your backups would actually save you. Where money is leaking on licences, hardware or support. And what to budget for before something forces the decision.

No jargon and no scare tactics. If everything checks out, we’ll tell you that too, in writing. And if you’d like our help fixing what we find, we’ll quote it separately and you’re free to compare us against anyone, including your current provider.

IT Health Check FAQs

Yes, genuinely free with no obligation. You get the full written report either way. We offer it because some businesses read their report and decide to work with us afterwards. That only happens if the report is honest, so it is.

The assessment usually takes 1-2 business days depending on the size of your setup, and you’ll have the report within 7 business days. Your team keeps working as normal the whole time.

To do it properly, yes. Typically that means admin access to Microsoft 365 and a look at your network and backups, arranged securely and with your approval at every step. If you have a current provider, we can work around them discreetly. Plenty of businesses come to us purely for an independent second opinion.

Then you’ll know about them, which beats finding out from a ransomware note. Every issue in the report is ranked by urgency, so you’ll know what needs fixing this week and what can wait. You can act on it with us, with your current provider, or in house. The report is written so anyone can pick it up and run with it.

Absolutely, and it’s one of the most common reasons people book. An independent IT audit either confirms your provider is doing a good job, which is worth knowing, or shows you what’s being missed, which is worth knowing even more. We’re often brought in just before a contract renewal for exactly this reason.
